
Though the journey began with wind and rain, the road ahead is now smooth. On the morning of June 18, 2024, the Central South University Powder Metallurgy Research Institute held its 2024 graduation ceremony in the Lide Hall at the main campus. The ceremony was attended by Wang Dezhi, Party Secretary of the Powder Metallurgy Research Institute, Dean Zhang Dou, Vice Deans Liu Bin, Li Zhuan, and Zhang Yan, undergraduate class advisors, graduation year counselors from the student work office, and all 2024 graduates. The ceremony was hosted by Huang Xi, Deputy Party Secretary of the institute.



At the beginning of the ceremony, all participants stoodupto sing the national anthem. Afterwards, Vice Dean Liu Bin announced the list of students proposed to receive degrees, and Secretary Wang Dezhi announced the list of outstanding graduates.

After the announcement, undergraduate representative Wang Jiajun delivered a speech. He reflected on the bits and pieces of his four years of study and life at the university, expressing gratitude for the time spent with classmates and teachers, and for the opportunities and platform provided by the Powder Metallurgy Research Institute. He said, “No matter where I go, no matter where I am, I will always keep the spirit of our institute in my heart and continue to carry forward the excellent qualities I learned here.”

Next, graduate representative Zeng Chen gave a speech. He shared his story of working with materials and his dreams of contributing to the national defense industry. After graduation, he will fulfill his wish of working as a researcher at the China Academy of Engineering Physics. He promised, “In my new position, I will continue to dedicate my knowledge to the national defense cause, doing great deeds in silence.”

Following that, parent representative Mr. Fu Zhuangzhi spoke. Using the four words “gratitude,” “appreciation,” “never,” and “forget,” he expressed thanks to the school and the institute and encouraged the graduates to set sail on this new chapter of their lives with determination and ambition.

Next, teacher representative Mr. Lei Qian gave a speech, looking back on the past years and reminiscing about the hard work shared with the students. He pointed out the limitless possibilities for their future and expressed his hope that “all of you will continue to diligently learn new knowledge and constantly improve yourselves.”

As the ceremony drew to a close, Dean Zhang Dou delivered a speech to the graduates. He extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to them, proudly recounting the achievements of the Powder Metallurgy Institute since their enrollment. “We are all still young, with lofty aspirations,” he encouraged enthusiastically. With warmth and sincerity, he advised, “I hope you will warm up the ‘cold bench’ of scientific research with your passion, face the long journey ahead without fear of the unknown, and always remain true to your original aspirations.”
With that, the 2024 graduation ceremony of the Central South University Powder Metallurgy Research Institute successfully concluded.
